OUR STORY
The story of GiftedStitcher
When an Air Force spouse and a retired Marine who attend the same church get together and talk about entrepreneurial opportunities, an embroidery business is one of several things that has come from those conversations. Their families have a genuine friendship and both have a heart for serving others.

Sherye is the stitcher. She is left-brained; methodical; nocturnal; and detailed oriented. She is the one who measures twice and sews once (most of the time!) and serves as Doug's adult supervision.

Doug is the front man. He is right-brained; the networker; keeps Sherye busy with jobs; and is fortunate to have her supervision.
​
The creation of GiftedStitcher was an idea born after a church service one Sunday afternoon. Sherye, Doug and their families have been friends for nearly ten years.
Sherye
Sherye, born and raised in Texas, married into the Air Force and traveled the world with her husband's career until his retirement. Sherye is "retired" here in San Antonio and remains busy with family while continuing to serve others in myriad ways beginning with her church.
Doug
Doug, born and raised in Virginia, retired from the Marine Corps and is here in San Antonio (often reminded about not being a true Texan) for his final career in the corporate world.
